Better Brain Health is Within Reach.

Mobile EEG technology has revolutionized our ability to bring the benefits of EEG out of the neuroscience lab and into everyday life.

What is brain health?

Brain health relates to cognitive function, resilience, the ability to process information, regulate emotions and maintain good physical health.

Why is it important?

Brain health is deeply rooted to living life to its full potential and to life satisfaction. It directly affects our ability to perform at work, enjoy a social life and take pleasure from intellectual pursuits.

Circl neurotechnology delivers exquisite insight into how well your brain is actually performing day to day. Our brainwave measurements make brain health:

  • Visible see what’s happening, trending
  • RELATABLE understand the science
  • Manageable take action, as needed

Best-in-Class Technology Yields Superior Results.

EEG Database

Synthesizing brainwave data at scale to power health analyses and personalized interventions.

AI-Powered Data Analysis

Leveraging the information density of brainwave data to improve cognitive function.

World-Leading Digital signal Processing

Advancing neuroscience data analysis techniques we’ve specifically designed for mobile EEG.

Change the trajectory of harmful trends.

Your brain adapts dynamically to changing states of function. At first, this change occurs imperceptibly. Over time, it may become more evident. Routine checks detect when brain performance trends become a concern or unhealthy.

Circl enables you to change the trajectory of a harmful trend in real-time ensuring your best possible brain health every day.

How it works.

To measure brain function, simply wear the headset for a few minutes as you play a game on the Circl mobile app. While you play, the headset records your brainwave data. At the end of the game, the app shows your scores. Circl is the easiest way to continually evaluate brain performance using lab-quality neuroscience.

Brain Injury At Work.

Circl has a distinct focus on professionals who have an increased risk of brain injury due to work demands. First responders, healthcare specialists and military personnel are among these frontline workers. Visit our Professional pages.

Common Risks.

Concussion is a mild form of traumatic brain injury. Suffering one concussion increases susceptibility for another. Full neurological recovery from a concussion can take upwards of a year.

Chronic fatigue and burnout are most often associated with career demands. When chronic fatigue persists, decision-making is compromised and the risk of mild cognitive impairment and dementia increases.

PTSD is the result of a traumatic life event. Veterans who have been diagnosed with PTSD have a 2X greater risk of dementia than the general population.

Temporary or permanent percent (%) loss of brain function

Brain injury can manifest in a moment or over years. Recurrent or prolonged and unresolved brain trauma has the potential of raising the risk of long-term cognitive decline including dementia.

Undiagnosed dementia.

Up to 75% of all dementia cases in Canada are undiagnosed.

According to the US department of Health and Human Services, an estimated 46M Americans are asymptomatic for dementia.

Dementia is a progressive disorder that manifests over decades. By the time dementia is clinically diagnosed the brain has lost nearly 60% of its function. This loss is irretrievable. Time lapsed equals brain function lost, making early detection essential.

Frequently Asked Questions.

Is the Circl headset safe to wear?

Yes, the Circl headset utilizes the same technology used in neuroscience labs for decades. The headset is a passive recorder of the electrical activity of your brain, it does not emit harmful energy in any form.

How accurate is the Circl test?

Circl is a world leader in mobile EEG digital signal processing. In technical terms, we detect brainwave data with an amplitude to 3 millionths of a volt with millisecond accuracy. The Circl headset measures your brainwaves more accurately than a heart rate monitor measures your heart rate.

Who can see my brainwave data?

Only you or those you specifically decide to share the information with such as a family member or physician. Circl complies with all relevant privacy laws in the markets where our technology is available.

What if my brain performance keeps changing or going down?

It’s natural to have daily ups and downs in brain performance. There are many biometric and lifestyle factors that affect cognitive function. Talk to your doctor if your brain performance continues on a downward sloping trend over a prolonged period of weeks or months. A persistent negative trend is a concern and indicates a potential risk of a significant brain health issue.

Join our healthy brain community.

Personal experience led me to understand the importance of brain health early in life. As a PhD scientist who has studied brains at the cellular level, I realized that I could take research tools that were previously only available to scientists and make them accessible to everyone. This is Circl’s mission.
